アムステルダムの１号店での成功に続き、ランジェリーデザイナーのマリー・デッカーズ２店舗目のブティックが2007年にオープンした。場所はダム広場からほど近いTwo years after the success of the first marlies|dekkers store (Cornelis Schuytstraat) in Amsterdam it was time for a new adventure. On December 2007, Marlies Dekkers officially opened her second storeナイン・ストリートとして知られる旧市街地区の中心。
マリーのブティックはどれもインテリアがユニークな作りになっている。この店舗は白を基調に「眠れる森の美女」をイメージさせるエレガントな作りが特徴的。壁紙はマーリース自身がデザインしたもの。
マリー・デッカーズの店舗は他にアムステルダム、コルネリス通りに１店舗、マストーリヒト、ロッテルダム、ユトレヒトにもある。

The new marlies|dekkers store is located on number 18 of the highly fashionable Berenstraat, one if the Nine Streets. This quarter is one of the city’s most delightful shopping areas, bang in the middle of Amsterdam’s canal district and at a short walking distance from Dam Square.
Each marlies|dekkers store has a unique interior design. The Dutch designer decided on a completely different approach for her second Amsterdam store. The look could best be described as experimental and innovative, with white as its main colour. The store’s atmosphere breathes the story of Sleeping Beauty: the classic fairytale about a beautiful princess who pricks her finger on a bewitched spining-wheel, and falls asleep for 100 years. Only a prince can wake her by kissing her. During the opening a re-enactment of this scene actually took place in the store’s shop window!
On the walls of the mostly white interior a specially designed wallpaper by Marlies Dekkers refers to the Sleeping Beauty. It was had-painted on the walls by illustrator Kate van Harreveld, The lace curtains of Kobe reveal the unique print behind it. Just like all other marlies|dekkers store, a lounge area with fire place is part of the interior. Each dressing room has a unique entrance, a reference to another favourite story: Alice in Wonderland.
A special Sleeping Beauty soundscape was developed by Windworks; with music, sounds frim nature and a soothing female voice recounting the fairytale.
Passing the store even innocent pedestrians notice a sweet trailing voice telling the story of the enchanted princess and dream away…
