2001年より、エスター・コッホ（グラフィックデザイナー）とハンス・ボス（アーティスト/グラフィックデザイナー）の二人は、「コッホ × ボス・ギャラリー」の運営を行っているSince 2001 Esther Koch (graphic designer) and Hans Bos (artist / graphic designer) have been working together under the company name KochxBos. 。二人のデザインスタジオは、かつてアムステルダムのバーシェスにあったが、ヨルダン地区へ最近引っ越した。コッホとボスは、グラフィックデザインに関して同じような趣味をもっており、お互い（彼らが言うには）低俗趣味でアンダーグランドなアートに関心を抱いているという。超現実主義的特性と、美しさと窮屈さのスリリングなコンビネーションの持つ魅力が、彼らを掻き立て自身のギャラリーを始めるに至った。

Besides having a mutual eye for highly original graphic design Koch and Bos both take an interest in – as they call it – lowbrow and underground art. This fascination for the surreal, for the thrilling combination of beauty and uneasyness directed Esther and Hans to starting their own gallery. With the opening of the KochxBos Gallery on December 10, 2005 a gate unlocks to a dearly disturbing world.
