ユダヤ歴史博物館は、オランダにおけるユダヤ人の歴史や宗教、文化などに関する資料を収集、展示している博物館。11,000点以上の美術作品や歴史資料がありThe Jewish Historical Museum collects objects and works of art associated with the religion, culture and history of the Jews in the Netherlands and its former colonies.、常設しているのはそのほんの５％程度。
建物は17世紀のシナゴーグ４棟を１つに改装したもの。2001年にそれぞれの特徴や機能はそのままにオランダの有名な建築事務所「UNスタジオ」がリノベート。異なる要素を見事にまとめあげた。さらに新しいシナゴーグの地下スペースには巨大な展示スペースや、カフェ、ミュージアムショップなどが新設された。

http://www.jhm.nl These items are held by the museum and the Resource Centre. The museum has over 11,000 works of art, ceremonial items and historical objects. Only five percent of these are on permanent display.
In 2001, UNStudio renovated Jewish Historical Museum. The Jewish Historical Museum consists of four synagogues which were brought together to form one museum. The aim of the renovation is to unify these disparate elements, whilst maintaining the original, individual functions and character of the different buildings. The cellar under the New Synagogue has been excavated to provide 400 m2 for a new climatized print room and an auditorium for films and lectures. The New Synagogue also accommodates a changing programme of exhibitions, a permanent exhibition and a larger museum shop. In addition to this a media café, a children’s museum and a new entrance to the complex have been added.
