The American Edwin H. Land is the creator of the Polaroid. The first camera using this new technology was launched on the market in 1948. To celebrate its 50th birthday,

La Maison europeenne de la photographie is giving a tribute to the Polaroid. Through 52 pictures the exhibition gives an idea of the technological breakthroughs as well as the artistic innovations of the last five decades. Works of artists such as Ansel Adams, Robert Frank and of course Andy Warhol are presented.
