1. House-moving
I have moved to Setagaya (Sangenchaya are) after living in Meguro for 5 years. I want to know about Setagaya more because I am doing many projects in Setagaya. This area is very accessible to do my job. I was cramped for space in Meguro. I wanted to refresh myself... There are many reasons that made me decide to move.
I now feel closer to the local community than before. Feeling and learning many things more than I expected was a good harvest for me.

2. Facilitator/Coordinator
My job title is usually expressed as a facilitator or a coordinator. Coordinating various projects and getting opinions of participants together are the main things to do but I was keen on how to bring up other coordinators, who can take over this job, after I leave in order to keep the project active. I had many lectures to solve this problem in this year. A lecture that citizens learn how to make fryers. A lecture that teaches them how to get along with the Internet. A lecture how to propose my own theme after going out of town to find it. But I think I learned many things from these lectures the most. It was a good chance to remember my state of mind when I began to work.

3. Ito (tread) TV
The word "broadband" is gradually accepted by people but there was a question - "what can we do with that?" I had been thinking about this for a long time but could not find an answer. "Tokyo Ito (thread) TV" is a live broadcast that is on once a week and I am running this programme with some friends to think about the question. Just grouping is the aim of this TV without deciding concepts designs and we hope that we can get many key words about what sort of different things we can do compared to usual TVs. I am now feeling that we might be able to a new image of broadcasting from this TV to local through the broadband. It must be a long way to reach the conclusion...!

4. A problem of a flat on "University Avenue" in Kunitachi City
There is not a special rule but the height of all buildings have been kept at the same level in order to keep a good view of University Avenue in Kunitachi City. However, a company decided to build a high flat on this street and the citizens have taken action since 1999.
On the 18th of December 2002, Tokyo District court delivered judgment on the company to take out the floors that are above 20m from the ground. This is the first case that regarded the city scenery important and this matter made me think many things.
For example, compared to Paris, the ego of a profit-motivated company, and of local people tend to stand out in Japan. The people who were living above the 7th floor and their relationship with the locals caused a clash of interests. I think people should be aware that this sort of problem can happen everywhere in Japan. What do you think?

5. Taiwan... and getting along with neighboring countries
I went to Taiwan (Taipei City) this year. I was there with my friend who I met through the Internet game, and I had a good time with the energetic Taiwanese every night.
The atmosphere of Taipei is similar to Japan but the people were always tense and they showed their emotions very clearly. I saw a World Cup football match of Japan vs Turkey on a screen at Breeze Shopping Center. The crowds were not lively, but they were supporting Japan.
South Korea got into the news in the first half of this year and it was about North Korea in the latter half of the year. We should think about and get along with our neighboring countries more.
