1. Demeter
I lived in Obihiro, Hokkaido for 4 months to work as staff for the art project "Demeter". The big scale of nature and people in Hokkaido moved me. Driving to the border between a green field and a blue sky, going to a mountain to get grapes... I did many cliched things in Hokkaido. I hope I have a chance to live there during a winter.
2. Meeting a travelling beekeeper Mr Ishiodori again
I met travelling beekeeper Mr Ishiodori, who I interviewed in the magazine "Sputnik" two years ago, by chance again in Sarobetsu, Hokkaido. He travels almost half the year with bees. Listening to his stories was really interesting. He gave me a big bottle of fresh honey. Whenever I see him, I feel like being taught the importance of generousity. There must be a reason why people meet each other again.
3. Moi Cafe
I had been doing a portable cafe "Moi Cafe" since 1997 and have restarted it. I see this sort of cafe quite often in Tokyo nowadays. I want to build up a network and make an interesting movement through these connections. It is great fun to cook rice with a big pan.
4. Staff from JAF
When I was in Hokkaido, I asked JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) to help me. I could not do anything to the problem but a staffmember from JAF solved it with many tools as if it were nothing. And it was a free of charge. Fantastic! It happened during the middle of night and I thought I want to be a JAF staff if I could be reborn.
5. Restart a diary
I have started to keep a diary again since autumn. Finding a diary made by Moleskine gave a chance to do this. The quality of the diary is high. An advertisement said that Hemingway used his diary regularly, too. I can write sentences very smoothly! I feel I am writing silly things when I am writing, but I can agree or be impressed by what I thought when I reread them later on.
