Taku Anekawa has studied textile design and worked for an interior design company where he established a new division that focused on digital contents. The division created an "Interactive Toy Store" and "First PC" which became a big hit in the market place. Taku then quit his job and now works as a freelance designer doing character design, illustration and programming which is expressed with his minute interpretation. Celebrating 10 years working in the field he will soon hold his first exhibition in Sapporo. Exhibited pieces will represent brand new pieces of art. Earlier this year he had an exhibition in Tokyo with other artists, during which many people had seen his artwork and wanted to buy his creations. In Sapporo, you can see the far more brushed up versions of this series.

Using sewing, stitching, and silk prints Taku has created a new form of art expression. People's interpretation will vary like the intertwining thread. A thread between men and women? A concept of connection? This exhibition is the compilation of this year's work, which started showing his latent abilities while not forgetting his strong points. This is the first exhibition of this scale in the newly renovated SOSO Cafe show space. At the opening party, Anekawa will be in the SOSO Cafe to demonstrate his creation process. So don't miss it!!!
