京都造形芸術大学 天心館１階、白川通りに面した「ギャラリーRAKU」は、大学内の施設であると同時に、京都造形芸術大学の学生、教員、卒業生だけでなく、GALLERY RAKU on the 1st floor of Tenshinkan of Kyoto University of Art and Design is an institution of the University and also an public space open to students, teachers, and graduates. In every autumn, the original exhibition is held where the artists chosen among lots of entries from home and abroad show works of great individuality. Public programs (artist talk or workshop) are hosted at the same time as each exhibition, bringing “the open field site of art” and “the experimental field of art for the sake of the future”.

Translation: Tatsuhiko Akutsu学外の人々に開かれた公共の施設でもある。年１回、秋に行われる展覧会募集には学内外から多数のエントリーが寄せられ、その中から選ばれた個性豊かな展覧会を開催している。また展覧会ごとにパブリックプログラム（アーティスト・トーク、ワークショップなど）をおこない、「社会にひらかれたアートの現場」、そして「未来にひらかれたアートの実験場」をも視野にいれた活動をおこなっている。
