1997年に建築された外観のあちらこちらが外に張り出しているこの建物は、オランダの建築事務所「MVRDV」の名を世に知らしめるきっかけともなった。MVRDV初期の代表作Built in 1997, WoZoCo became one of the prominent works of MVRDV, a Dutch architectural firm MVRDV to introduce their name internationally. As their representative work of the early timesで、この100戸の集合住宅は数々の賞を受賞している。これは快適な広々とした空間と採光を室内につくるためにMVRDVが考えだしたアイディアが見事に完成したもので、ブロックを張り出すことで十分な空間と居住性を生み出している。
この建物は、主に高齢者向けの集合住宅として設計されたが、現在は空きがあれば誰でも入居できる。

To make comfortable and ample spaces and to let sun light into the rooms, MVRDV’s ideas have beautifully completed in these 100 housing complex generating enough spaces and habitability. The housing was initially built for elderly people, but now anyone can apply if it’s available.
