A contemporary artist Carsten Nicolai‘s solo exhibition “Parallax” will be held at Ichihara Lakeside Museum, Chiba from 18 March to 14 May.

He is also known as a musician produces electronic music under the name Alva Noto, collaborating with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Ryoji Ikeda etc. Nicolai applies scientific systems, mathematical patterns, and semiotics to the generation of art, including grids, codes, errors, and random or autonomously generated structures.

In this exhibition six projects including works that have never been displayed public in Japan will be presented. This is the his largest solo exhibition for almost 15 years in Japan.
