At CALM & PUNK GALLERYy in Tokyo, a Graphic Exhibition “Mysterious Graphics” will be held from August 18th to 28th, for the first time in six years since its debut in 2010 by foursome designers: Yuta Ichinose, Kei Shibata, Masatoshi Yajima, and Takahiro Yasuda.
When you delete meanings of Design from the term Graphic Design, Graphic comes in existence. It is not either design or paintings, but sole reflection of Mystery, or essence after graphic design abandons its visual communication methods except texture felt by eyesight.
This second exhibition features 11 artists and designers, who are spreading their activities not only in Japan but also overseas, in relation with the former Mystery members who boast of keen and international activities on graphic. This showcase will be revealing today’s Mystery of graphic via creativity of the exhibitors. Participants are Yuta Ichinose, Takahiro Etoh, Hisae Oba, Midori Sakakibara, Saori Shiroshita, Bien, Masako Hirano, Satoshi Murai, Takehiko Muramatsu, Masatoshi Tanijima and Takahiro Yasuda.
