From May 12th to 31st, a sculptor Kineta Kunimatsu‘s exhibition “Timescape” will be held at Granvista Gallery Sapporo. “Timescape” is a coined word which combines of “time” and “scape”.

Kunimatsu, who has been produced the works crossing human memories and landscapes with the theme as a boundary in the nature like horizon, horizontal line and the outline of mountains, this time will try to exhibit new works about “time” existing in landscapes. For him, it’s similar to the tranquility of darkness spreading at the moment of blink that the silence before the dawn and after sunset is repeated. Then he held the passage of “time” into works.

He will show productions reflected his field work in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, as his base for this exhibition. And on May 12th, he is to talk with Keiji Tsuyuguchi a photographer and Akiyoshi Kitagawa a photographer and video artist, as an opening event.
