On January 16th, regarding the 10th anniversary of Chim↑Pom and the release of “Disny Art” published by Kunst Arzt, a talk event “Art given Out: Artists fighting their ways into society. How to proceed Art” will he held at Aoyama Book Center, Tokyo.

Mitsuhiro Okamoto, a contemporary artists, and artist collective Chim↑Pom also have been cut into boldly society by the art, but the both often become subject to regulation and their “works” were judged to be “out.” And sometime they have been requested to change and remove works, moreover no match even producing and exhibiting.

In 2015, Okamoto planned “Disney Art” exhibition that presented the power of art while butting the relationship between art and copyright, and Chim↑Pom held “By enduring the unendurable ↑ suffering what is insufferable” exhibition by works reflected the protest, regulation and censorship that was actually received ever.” This time, inviting Tomoki Sakuta who support artists with the lawyer’s point of view, as a master, they will try to examine the current situation around the art closely and to re-question once the role now.
