Jean-Pierre Bertrand and Maurice Blaussyld‘s group exhibition “The State of the Siderated” will start from October 16th, at Galerie Allen. Galerie Allen artist Maurice Blaussyld invites his peer and friend, the highly regarded French artist Jean-Pierre Bertrand, to create an exhibition as dialogue.
While Bertrand selects works spanning different eras of his career, Blaussyld revisits and reincarnates previous works. Though their practices differ significantly, through placement and selection Bertrand and Blaussyld create a type of multi-language dialogue both cryptic and open.
The siderated is siderated by his own sideration, by his own sideration in itself. It is in this rebound that a vision emerges. SIDERALIS was first understood as « constellations ». SIDUS refers to an isolated star, it is used to represent the sky, the night, a season, notably winter ; its origin is largely unknown. There is little incarnation in the siderated, merely the joy of the singular, but of a singularity invested with the unique capacity to know that it is here that it happens, that it is there that it takes place.
