At graniph Harajuku Gallery until August 31st, Ed Emberley‘s “Original Images” exhibition is held to celebrate the collaboration with “Ed Emberley × Graniph” Tees.
Ed who was born in 1931 in Malden, Massachusetts, started to write and illustrate as a picture book writer since 1960 and has been drawn over 100 picture books. His first book made the New York Times list of best-illustrated books for 1971 and he also was sole runner-up for the 1967 Caldecott Medal. He, believes that everyone can learn to draw and it’s so fun, published in 1970 “Ed Emberley’s Drawing Book of Animals” with the message. The picture book “Drawing Book” became a series is loved by so many people.
This time, you could see seven valuable original images of Ed Emberley proposes taht everyone can learn to draw, with the combination of simple shapes as circle, triangle and square.
