NANZUKA presents the solo exhibition “KOBAYASHIMARU” by a Polish artist Agnieszka Brzezanska. This exhibition of her latest works will be the first solo exhibition in Japan.
Based in Warsaw and Berlin, Agnieszka Brzezanska receives a high reputation through her solo exhibition around the world. Her interests in recent years are alternative function of meaning and parallel reality. We can find a hint of her creation in the process of finding a common point in things belong different fields at a first glance.
The exhibition shows her dimensional works series combine three different materials, panel painting, glass painting and photography. For example the complicated screen of the photographs taken the scene of the accident or disaster and glass gilt of geometrical forms, configuration and abstract lines, and paint of panel work drawn a small person. It’s possible to be regarded itself as it means the origin of today’s society, or mirror to reflect our own. In April 5th, the opening reception with the artist will be held.
