The exhibition “Icarus” by Bill Finger will be held at PUNCH Gallery in Seattle. There is something human in the desire to explore. To reach beyond ourselves. Using everything at our disposal to propel a dream forward. In Icarus, our protagonist looks to Space and longs to break free. Obsessively building what cannot be done, to live an explorer’s life. As Bill Finger posits in his latest photographic works, a possible failed attempt is never a failure.
Bill Finger is a Seattle-based artist whose work often draws from his past experience as an Assistant Cameraman in the Film Industry. His work centers around the construction and photographing of miniature “sets.” His images can be found in the permanent collection of the George Eastman House Museum of Photography in Rochester, NY.
