10 winners of the center for creative communications’ exhibit competition “NCC-Shizuoka 2013” were chosen to present their exhibitions here at CCC. Between July and November CCC will be hosting 2 exhibits at a time.
The first exhibition is “haku-muku (A1)” by Yu Matsuda [FUNCTION ( ) ] & Yuma Nishida and “Omiage” by Nao Osada & Kei Yamazaki. “haku-muku (A1)” is a test in how to control the hardness, heaviness and strength of the common household item of aluminum foil by applying pressure in various methods. They will exhibit the various stages in which aluminum foil emerges as a new material and a new product is born. For “Omiage”, Osada explores ways of printing which includes photos and film, while Yamazaki investigates unique methods of combining painting with printmaking.
