The solo exhibition “Proto Landscape” by an photographer Yozo Takada born in Sapporo and based in Tokyo, will be opened at CAI02. At the opening reception in April 6th, the talk event with guests, photographer Keiji Tsuyuguchiand Akiyoshi Kitagawa.
We don’t feel the sound from his photograph of real landscape photography. The works created by the documentary approach without digital processing, even give us a kind of futuristic (fiction) impression. Is it because that his subjects are unusually things like a closed dome ecosystem or experimental city? There are concepts, theme in his works, but they were taken without special spatial structure or image processing.
It might because a choice of the subject, we can feel a strong life force along with a decadent emptiness from the straight configuration. Takada work has been definitely established as the creation of the modern in today’s society.
