Borrowed Landscape Yokohama is an attempt to redesign the connections between the cityscape and people using the borrowed landscape technique, which is a traditional way of admiring panoramic scenery through the medium of the performing arts.
The second performance will be staged at a shopping mall, M/M Grand Central Terrace in Yokohama, produced and performed through a collaboration between promising artists from Belgium and Japan. The main aim of this project is to discover the essence of people’s living spaces with the use of bodies, sound and words as mediums placed in actual space borrowed from the daily landscape and environment-a space that exists between fiction and nonfiction-by going back and forth between an ambiguous world that exists between lies and the truth. Also the workshop will be held in August 10th, 11th.
