After an exciting 2nd stage of the challenge, in which there was a very active exchange of thoughts between participants and HEINEKEN experts, the Official Jury has evaluated the final ideas and selected a winner!

The Winning Idea – reward: 10.000USD
The winning idea is “The Heineken 1000$ bottle” from Helmut Witteler (Germany). The Jury appreciated his detailed proposal of a promotional mechanism supported by an innovative device, the “Heineken-O-Mat”- designed to motivate consumers to return/recycle bottles. Increasing the return rate of bottles and cans has a very positive effect on their environmental impact. This idea has the potential to engage all parties needed to make a real difference: HEINEKEN, consumers, retailers and even NGO’s.

The Best Co-Creators – reward 1.000USD each
The HEINEKEN Ideas Brewery team was decided to select four instead of three participants as “Best Co-Creators”:

Gerrit Staal (The Netherlands)
