MOMA presents the exhibition “Sum of Days“ by Carlto Carvalhosa from 24th August.
Already renowned in his native Brazil, Carlito Carvalhosa makes his U.S. debut with a vast, participatory sound installation—a monumental construction of soft, white fabric hanging from the ceiling to the floor and microphones that capture ambient noise. Each day a new recording gradually superimposes the previous one, slowly dimming the oldest sound into whispers. More information is here.
