Hong Kong photography and video artist Morgan Wong’s exhibition “Untitled – Agnosia series I” will be held at Videotage from June 19th – July 10th.

Continue exploring his interest in the conscious use of colors as in his previous works, Morgan Wong developed a new video installation piece “Untitled – Agnosia series I” for Videotage’s FUSE:: Residency. As an experiment of situating abstraction in moving image, the project attempts to alter the usual way we perceive the visual world. The artist deconstructs the tallest skyscraper on Hong Kong Island ‐ IFC TWO ‐ into videos of pure color. ‘Untitled – Agnosia series I’ not only reconstructs one of the most iconic buildings in Hong Kong in a minimalist manner, but also touches on the themes of color and light by relating the two through objectification.

Opening Reception from June 18th 3pm, the artist will share his concept about the piece and the process of realizing such project.
