They Live, We Rise is a special edition absolutely different in form to all Belio Magazine’s previous publications. To the surprise of many, their next Belio is a newspaper compromised with the social, economic and political situation today.
“They Live, We Rise” is a physical and digital edition inspired by John Carpenter’s movie “They Live”. A short of homage to the film in order to expose a increasingly conformist and lobotomized society. The design and content of the newspaper is based in one of the famous scenes from the movie where the protagonist discovers the hidden messages in advertising and the media with the help of some special glasses.
To read the newspaper, you won’t need those glasses… But they have included in the pack a special 3D anaglyph glasses that will be need to read the digital edition “We Rise”, which can be downloaded for free in the links at the bottom. Everything is packed within a transparent PVC bag screenprinted and limited to 1000 units.
