Artist Tomáš Džadoň (Slovakia, 1981) will give a talk on Tuesday, May 25th
at 6pm, in SOA Simplemente Obras de Arte Gallery-Cafe in Montevideo, Uruguay. Džadoň lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic and will speak about his current works, which reference the present Central Europe, former Czechoslovakia and former eastern block. These geo-political surroundings have a complicated past, an instable present and a very ambiguous future; they are marked by many conflicts and contradictions, which Tomas reflects with a distanced perspective. Contradiction between traditional values and modern ones are key parts to Džadoň’s work.
