Bitforms gallery presents the third U.S. solo exhibition with Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. Best known for creating large-scale interactive installations in public spaces throughout Europe, Asia and America, Lozano-Hemmer’s kinetic sculpture Wavefunction, which made its debut at the 52nd Venice Biennial, will have its United States premiere. Running concurrently (October 24 – November 21) will be Pulse Park, a large public art installation in New York City’s Madison Square Park, the artist’s first outdoor work in the United States.

Alan Aldridge – the man with the Kaleidoscope Eyes is the first UK retrospective featuring the works of the celebrated illustrator and graphic designer Alan Aldridge.
This is Audrey Fondecave’s fourth solo exhibition at La Galerie Des Nakamura. For this show, Fondecave unites her new paintings and drawings through a museum-themed installation in the gallery. Such a theme provided the opportunity for Fondecave to become her own curator and present her works as if they were “masterpieces” in an old European-style museum. Works that were influenced from books she enjoyed from her childhood yet still serve as nostalgic reminders and fond memories. “These paintings are a way for us to remember that we always repeat the same mistakes- even if our surrounding environment changes, some of the personal things in our lives never really change.”
