A product designer Keita Suzuki showed a new glass speaker “Exponential” at Fritz Hansen Aoyama. He held the sound installation “60 sounds, 60’s spirits” by collaborating with Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction. The glass speaker which was produced in high quality by Sugawara Craft Glass Co., Ltd., and sensibility by Suzuki was exhibited together with Fritz-Hansen’s masterpiece furnitures and boasted high popularity during the exhibition.
In addition, many art galleries were participating in the event in Shibuya and Roppongi areas. Also the venue was scattered in Hiroo, Daikanyama, and in Naka-Meguro. The events were expanded widely, including the PAVILION and artless appointment gallery.
Although it is still held for the second time, as this year was planned at the same time with Fashion Week Tokyo, the anticipation of overseas press was high, and many foreign visitors joined. I hope that it will be established as an event to be promoted from Tokyo to the world and continue to grow its popularity further.
