Japanese website
We recently launched a fully Japanese version of the oki-ni website, with Japanese product pages, features, as well as all log-in, registration and checkout pages. Hopefully the site will make it easier for our customers in Japan to shop on oki-ni. To view the site, simply click on the 日本語 button on the top right of the homepage.

Silent Collection
Since it arrived a few weeks ago, Damir Doma’s Silent collection has become an instant favourite with everyone at oki-ni.
The collection includes jersey and denim in oversized silhouettes and washed leather accessories. I have to say that I am a particular fan of the “Astible” Sneakers… really versatile and functional footwear, they are available in low, mid and high versions. The brand philosophy is very much based around the concept of an alternative “luxury”. The products really speak for themselves, and both look and feel amazing.

Omar Kashoura Interview
Omar Kashoura is a designer that we have been keeping an eye on for a while now, so we are delighted to be stocking his SS10 collection at oki-ni. The collection, entitled “Popeye in Trouville” is full of playful prints and a colourscheme of orange, pink, grays, blues, purple, and peach. We recently caught up with Omar and interviewed him as part of our “New Faces of Menswear” project. The full interview can be read here.

Mark Seven “Lesson in Love” 12inch Vinyl
We are really happy to have found some copies of this record… “A Lesson in Love” is a strictly limited pressing of a signature Mark Seven edit of Ashford & Simpson´s 1981 live performance of “The Boss”, finally committed to vinyl by a so far uncredited Japanese DJ. It’s a one-sided edit, guaranteed to work the dancefloor – soulful, gospel infused dance music Apparently, Mark has some tracks coming out on Mule Musiq later this year, so that’s something to look forward to!

1205
1205 is a new London based brand produced by designer Paula Gerbase. Her first collection, “One” for SS10 is now available at oki-ni. The brand is really popular amongst our customers, and it’s not hard to see why. Deconstructed tailoring makes for a light, relaxed silhouette, pleated trousers are made in contrasting fabrics, oversized raglan-sleeved Egyptian cotton t-shirts and elegant cotton shirting can be worn by men and women. Definitely a label to watch – we recently viewed a number of pieced from the AW10 collection, and the quality of the tailoring is amazing.
