HAPPENINGText: Yukino Kotake

I had a chance to talk to one of Teriyakiboyz member, Verbal from m-flo. It was a little surprise to hear that this was his first visit to NY. He looked having good time and replied “The response from our audience were greater than expected” when I asked him.

Artists performances continued. A stage by Pharoahe Monch with dancers had audience feel glow in the dusk. Colorful stage lights illuminates Central Park in the dark. Another guest performer from Japan, DJ UPPERCUT fascinated people with his simple stage.

Something in Hip hop world, RAKIM came in to the stage as a surprise guest at last. Hailed from Long Island, known as a talented R&B and Hip hop singer. The whole venue was covered with warm atmosphere with his simple solid performance.

The evening flashed by, I really enjoy the festival very much, though, there was thin crowds at the finale. It is always great to have a day like today when both audience and artists create one event together not only something about Japan and New York.
