COW PARADE TOKYO 2003

HAPPENINGText: Yuki Ishida

Yutanpo Shirane “Triple Vision”

Yutanpo Shirane created “Triple Vision”. This dynamic work makes you look at it from several angles. It takes advantage of a solid body very well. We are impressed by the painting, while we wonder why the men and women painted on the cow’s body cry.

Hiro Sugiyama “Naked Cow”

However, to our surprise, the most outstanding one is “Naked Cow” designed by Hiro Sugiyama. The theme is making it stand out without painting it. That is amazing.

Katsuhiko Hibino “Cow Kuu Ku”

The rest are from famous artists in Japan such as Katsuhiko Hibino, Hiroshi Senju, Terry Johnson, Gugi Akiyama and Mikangumi and local junior high school students produced a series of different art cows. Stopping by and looking at them, each face and character looks and feels different. You might even feel affection towards some of them! Possibly, every office worker, especially women, in Marunouchi might have their own favourite cow.

In an on-going auction, cows are looking for a master after this event.
