I took part in this event on both days and I could enjoy various sounds because they presented impromptu performances. I think this is a kind of the real pleasure of a liver performance. Since they play with computers, data will never be changed. Therefore, the life of laptops can be vague. Is it just “playback” or “performance”? However, several artists systematically mixing each sound with lap top computers can be a new method that allows us to avoid the problems above. This is why those performers are continuing to look for other ways. I could not see the completed style but I felt it could be anything because the idea is interesting.

Salvanilla presented a mixed-media performance with the theme of communication reality at the edge of the urban informative space. Performers in futuristic costumes were energetically and rhythmically moving within a stage to express pranoia of people in an urban city. Their performance gave audiences the impression that something like the paranoia of people is there if we get rid of the humanity within things. We could imagine the light of the urban city from a musical machine “Optron” that Atsuhiro Ito made and noisy electronic sounds and a live drum sound created dark atmosphere as well. I cannot say that this performance was a comfortable one but I could feel the power of reality that we cannot take our eyes from that.

We have little chance to experience music and art under the sky in the city centre. It was a nice occasion where I could appreciate the performance art while I was looking at the sky between buildings. If these spaces increase in the city, more people will casually visit events. It will give artists a chance that they can find new ability of expression that is specialized for this kind of space.
